[ZendTo] Version number after update

I've been playing with 5.10 on a test system.

When updating from 5.02->5.10, the version number displayed in the web 
interface remains 5.02 and the ZTVERSION line in the config file 
remained unchanged.

Is this by design?
Am I looking in the wrong place?
Am I just expected to ignore the request not to edit that line?
