No. Sorry, I clearly misunderstood how much Unix/linux sysadmin you 
know. :-)
Just add this onto the end of each line:
     >/dev/null 2>&1

You'll then need to do a "service crond reload" for it to re-read the 
crontab files, or else your changes won't be noticed.
