Here is a list of packages used by the v5 installer on Debian... Maybe some are missing, but that's a good start.
curl is already the newest version (7.52.1-5+deb9u3).
build-essential is already the newest version (12.3).
devscripts is already the newest version (2.17.6+deb9u1).
dpatch is already the newest version (2.0.38).
equivs is already the newest version (2.0.9+nmu1).
fakeroot is already the newest version (1.21-3.1).
lintian is already the newest version (2.5.50.4).
quilt is already the newest version (0.63-8).
apache2 is already the newest version (2.4.25-3+deb9u3).
php is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-cli is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-common is already the newest version (1:49).
php-curl is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-enchant is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-gd is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-imap is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-intl is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-json is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-ldap is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).
php-mbstring is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).

May the 4th be with U (As a Solaris admin too, I know how painfull it is ;) )

I'd love to try V5. I see lots of references to the installer, but no longer see any human-readable notes regarding build/install/dependencies. To install this on Solaris, will I just need to unwind the install script to learn what packages are required?
Have non-linux operating systems finally fallen off the back of the support truck?
