[ZendTo] problem with upload

I got it figured out.

There were two things wrong, and they may have something to do with the fact Debian 9 was untested.

1) My preferences file had a different path set to dropoffs, (/opt/zendto/files ) and obviously zendto doesn't create that folder just by itself just because I said it should be there. This was easily solved by creating the right folder and awarding the rights.

2) ClamAV was enabled but not properly configured separately. This may have to do something with Debian 9, as I ordered it to be turned on during the install phase. After running the ClamAV config all was working. I had to tweak the AV settings a little to not take 100% cpu when scanning for a file though, as it would slow down experience for other users. Adding a 2nd core to the VM and trimming that a little worked out perfect.

Sincerely,

Maarten

I recently re-installed ZendTo from scratch, and am encountering an issue. I installed a brand new Linux Debian install (v 9.1),
I don't think I've tested install.sh on 9 yet, the latest was 8 when I last got near it.

and ran the Install.php script which successfully completed. I then copied our old preferences.php and zendto.conf and added new entries I saw in the new config file to re-build the site as I want it
The tools "upgrade_preferences_php" and "upgrade_zendto_conf" in /opt/zendto/bin are a more reliable way of doing that.
Just run either of them without any command-line args, and they'll show you a usage example.

(with company logo, company words, etc). The server has 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB disk space. (Virtual machine on a VMWare cluster), it has a proper SSL certificate and the site is secured properly on https. The speed with which the server is connected to the internet is a 1 Gbps fibreoptic line.

Steps:

1) I log on to the site using AD Credentials. (this works fine).

2) I click Drop Off

3) I do not have a "request code" (or need one) so I type in my organization and click Next.

4) I click on the green + in the To: field, and add a gmail account to test.

5) I choose a file. In my case an executable print driver file to test, of around 42 MB.

6) I click "Drop Off files".

7) Progress bar fills up to 100%, and subsequently I get presented with a screen that does have the Home/Inbox/Outbox/Logout tabs, but is otherwise white/blank.
In preferences.php, turn on the SMTP debugging (there's a flag I called something like SMTPdebug, you'll find it. Set it to true).
Then at the end of an upload, at the top of the results page it should show you all the SMTP traffic it does to send the email, presuming you are using the new SMTP settings in preferences.php (at which point it won't use or need any underlying sendmail/Postfix config).

That may tell you something useful.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers,
Jules.

Chrome Debugger gives me the following information:

//
Refused to set unsafe header "Connection"

send

jquery-1.7.2.min.js:4

ajax

jquery-1.7.2.min.js:4

submitform

verify.php:679

//

I have checked our firewall logs, and using our internal/external source IP's for the zendto server, nothing was blocked. All traffic to/from the server was allowed and passed through. (site works otherwise both internally and externally)

Things I have tried:

- Change progress bar setting from "TRUE" to "FALSE".

- Disabled CLAMAV scanner

Any clue as to what might be wrong?

Sincerely,

Maarten
