The settings are in a file called “preferences.php” in the “config” directory wherever your zendto is installed. Scroll through the file and you will find an area where you can change it to Google or disable it altogether. Be sure to restart your http process after you make the change to the file.

Good Luck!

A Farewell to PlayThru
Hi Kyle. Are you (or anyone else) willing to describe the process? We are using the “Are you human” function but unfortunately the guy that set this up for us has left the company and I am not sure where to find the configuration that needs to be changed or how to update it to google reCAPTCHA. Can you help?

The new Google recaptcha is easy to set up.

(I got one of those notices, too, and made the change to google just this afternoon.)

Hi,

I have to assume that this will impose some changes for anybody using the « are you human » feature in ZendTo?? Anybody have any further information on this?

It’s been a busy few months for Are You a Human and we have some important news to share. As of March 1st, we will be shutting down our PlayThru service Our engineering team has been hard at work building the Real Time Human Detection Service, which is powered by the same technology that built PlayThru. Although this isn’t an exact replacement for PlayThru, we’re very excited for the capabilities of this next phase of human-detection technology. We encourage you to read through the rest of this email to ensure that you remove PlayThru prior to the shutdown and learn about the Real Time HD Service. Be sure to remove PlayThru from your siteWith the new efforts going into the Real Time Human Detection Service, we decided to shut down our PlayThru infrastructure starting March 1st, 2016. You must remove PlayThru to avoid any complications with your site.
If you’re experiencing trouble, please submit a support ticket here. Really want to keep using PlayThru? We do offer a few limited enterprise plans that start at $5,000 a month. Please send an email to humans at areyouahuman.com if this is something that would interest you.
Other CAPTCHA-alternative productsWe realize that there are some situations where you may want a CAPTCHA-alternative verification tool for your site. Here are a few products that we recommend:
reCAPTCHAAkismetMollom About the Real Time Human Detection ServiceReal Time Human Detection Service is an API that provides custom reporting on the humanness of your traffic by using the same human-detection technology that powered PlayThru. Rather than asking users to perform a specific task, users can browse the web as they normally would. We add that data to all the other interactions we see from that user on our three million sites and make a determination if that user is human. In most cases, we know if a user is human before they even hit the page.
Simply fill out this form to get started. Thanks for all the help! Our team is honored to help you fight the evils of bots online. Thank you to everyone who helped bring PlayThru to life, whether it was by providing early and valuable feedback, promoting us on social media or just by simply using the product.
