Edit /opt/zendto/config/preferences.php
'maxNoteLength' => 4000,
Change the value to what you want. I think 2000 is the default. I bumped mine to 4000. I don't know if there's a way to stop accepting characters after the limit is set, but my users seem satisfied with 4000.
Don't forget to restart your httpd daemon after making the change.

Subject: [ZendTo] [Improvement Proposal for Short not to Recipients Field]
Hi all,
today a user complained, that he added a lot of text into the "short note to the Recipient" field. Of course, he ignored the word "short" and so it got cut off.
Is there a way to implement a kind of character counter for this field and don't accept more input after the limit has been reached?
This would be large improvement for the end-user in my opinion.
Is the amount of data that is allowed configurable somewhere or is a change of some php files needed?
Kind regards
PCFreak
