[ZendTo] Re: How do you market ZendTo service to your internal staff?

Glad you like it!

For your "power users" you could even change the template for the
dropoff page where it shows you the claim ID and passcode, so that it
shows a link they can copy and paste straight into their email message
so the recipients don't have to do all the hard work themselves.

It's only a template change, and a pretty simple one at that. The
template files are intended for you to modify as you need to, changes to
these will survive upgrades.

You just have to edit /opt/zendto/templates/show_dropoff.tpl starting
about line 117. That line draws the box in the bottom left corner that
shows the claim ID and passcode of the dropoff you just created.

You could change it to something like

<p>To send the file to someone else, simply right-click
<a
href="https://sendto.nmni.com/pickup.php?claimID={$claimID}&claimPasscode={$claimPasscode}">here</a>
and then paste into an email message.</p>

That will probably do what you want. Obviously I'm assuming the
"sendto.nmni.com" is the name of your ZendTo server. Don't add any
line-breaks inside the "<a>" tag.

Jules.

It was a lot easier getting their clients to use this than FTP, or clogging up their email systems with large attachments. It also means they can send ridiculously large attachments (HD video clips) without relying on couriers.
