Yes, agreed, that would be a good idea. I can't see a feasible
SASL-based authentication module for PHP, which is a great shame, as
that would be the ideal answer.
So it would have to be a simple SQL-based user+password table. But I
reckon I could write one.
Basically you need
- the auth ability in the ZendTo authenticator
- command to add a user
- command to delete a user
- command to set a user's password
I would just store the username and the MD5 hash of the password in the
SQL table.
Need anything more than that to get going?
