Changing the preferences.php code from 'SMTPdebug'    => true  to  'SMTPdebug'    => false resolved my issue.

Once simple change made a world of a difference. Many thanks for your input on this resolve.

Marlon,

For the JavaScript console, open it, try to ensure from any buttons across the top of it that you're seeing *All* output, not just errors.
Then clear it: there should be a trash can or "no entry sign" in its little toolbar to do that.

Then do the ZendTo upload and see if anything appears in that console at all, except for "404" errors about a file whose name ends in ".map" (you can ignore those).
Screenshot and send us anything that appears in that console.

What version of ZendTo are you now running on this server/VM ?

I am still unable to figure out why the browser popup remains when uploading. The file(s) get uploaded and notice is sent to recipients.  Its just this screen that remains. I’ve looked at some of the recommended steps from previous replies but haven’t been able to deduce anything.

If you get that happening, please take a look in the JavaScript Console in your web browser.
There might well be clues in the output there. And also in your /var/log/zendto/zendto.log file.

Hi Marlon,

I had similar issues. The problem in my case was, that the local Anti-Virus transparently went between the client and my ZendTo server. It immediately picked up the file(s) completely and tried to scan them all locally and then did the request to ZendTo which totally messed up everything. In my case we created and exclusion for the internal IP and the internal fqdn of the ZendTo system from the Antivirus-Webprotection which was Sophos in our case. Then it worked as expected.

Maybe you have a similar problem and maybe you find this info useful. If not just ignore my mail.
