The Installer should only ever write 1 domain name in there (your organisation's top-level domain), not sure how it would end up with 2. But yes, it's 1 entry per line. Cheers, Jules. The ClaimID and so on is used as the user interface, but internally it uses auto-incrementing counters on the DB tables. So while you have no clashing ClaimIDs (that's incredibly unlikely to happen), it is very possible you have clashing numbers in the DB tables. I would disable all uploads and logins to the 3 old servers and force all new uploads/logins on to the new one. Then the only access to the old ones will be pick-ups of existing drop-offs. Provided their links are distinct from the new server, they will continue to work. Once the expiry date has passed for the last drop-off on any of the 3 old servers, you can shut that one down. Most drop-offs are picked up within a few days, so you'll see hits to the 3 old servers tail off very quickly. That's generally the least painful way of doing it. Hope that helps, Jules. The Installer knows all the best repos to get all of that from, depending on what exact version of Linux you are running. It's not easy to explain in words, but the Installer is all written in bash and the bit concerning sodium is in stage 2 (the 2-php.sh scripts you'll find inside the Installer). So if you can read bash reasonably well, you could see what it is planning on doing. Depending on your version of Linux, it might need to totally rip out PHP and start again, which will also remove all installed PHP apps (including your copy of ZendTo). I would strongly consider building a new VM with a minimal install of your latest favourite Linux on it, then just use the ZendTo Installer as it is almost entirely automatic. 5 is enormously easier+faster to get working than 4 was. Hope that helps, Jules. Go in there and just run stage 8 (you can run any stage manually). That will repair SELinux attributes. Then start off a big upload and look in /var/zendto/incoming. Note that you cannot drop-off directories, only files." During the upload I say a file in /var/zendto/incoming. It immediately vanished upon the error. Your assistance is always appreciated. Thx, Glenn On Fri, Dec 14, 2018 at 12:05 PM Jules Field via ZendTo > wrote: What OS and version are you running on? If it's CentOS or RedHat, it may be SELinux-related. If so, re-run stage 8 of the Installer. Inside the Installer's directory, you'll see the CentOS-RedHat directory. Go in there and just run stage 8 (you can run any stage manually). That will repair SELinux attributes. Then start off a big upload and look in /var/zendto/incoming. You should be able to see a file growing in size, that is your upload. Jules. I've got a minimal 18.04.1 LTS server install. I boot it, "sudo su -", download https://zend.to/files/install.ZendTo.tgz and run the installer. The only things I change from the defaults are the SMTP server name and SMTP username+password. Otherwise everything is default. Then reboot. Then create 1 local user. Then point a web browser at it, login and drop off a 4.5GB file (happens to be a Windows iso). It works fine. I haven't made any changes to preferences.php or zendto.conf or internaldomains.conf at all. Totally untouched once the Installer had finished. What am I doing differently from you folks? I have even done an "apt update; apt upgrade; reboot" after that to see if that breaks anything, and no, everything still works. Puzzled... Puzzled... That will repair SELinux attributes. Then start off a big upload and look in /var/zendto/incoming. You should be able to see a file growing in size, that is your upload. Jules. Ran the Zend.to installer as per https://zend.to/downloads.php#installer 3.) Copied my zendto-ssl.crt and zendto-ssl.key files to the appropriate folders and applied permissions (chmod and chgrp) 4.) updated /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/001-zendto-ssl.conf to reference my crt and key files 5.) Manually updated my zendto.conf and preferences.php files referencing the zendto.conf and preferences.php from my older production Zend server. At this point is where I could fully log into my Zend server using my AD account. When I uploaded the file it would fully upload and launch the virus detection and then return the error I had mentioned previously. 6.) I Copied my Logo.jpg to /opt/zendto/www/images/email and restarted Apache. 7.) Site started working. My apologies if I broke protocol by not testing a new build the proper way. I am going to rebuild once more and test the process as you've laid out in your email. Thank you again for your help. I must either change how those 2 work, or write much better documentation for them, as it appears a lot of people don't know enough bash command-line to understand the usage example they print when you run them with nothing else on the command-line. I'll probably create a new "upgrade" script which uses them, and does everything else required to put the new ones into place, all at once. Cheers, Jules. Initially I had a similar test before I switched to just checking for my.fsu.edu, I decided to use the explicit test due to one of my coworkers pointing out that unauthenticated users using an e-mail address from their own fsu.edu subdomain (like physics.fsu.edu) may have issues due to SPF records. Our dropbox server definitely has SPF records for fsu.edu and my.fsu.edu, and it may have SPF records for a few of the vanity subdomains too as some are hosted on the Exchange servers with the main domain; but there are a number of self maintained mail servers on campus that may cause issues. I would say your code is a good fix or have a list of subdomains allowed to send e-mails from the ZendTo software. I don't know how much of a headache a list of subdomains would be to implement for you, just another possible option. Again I appreciate all the hard work you continue to put into ZendTo, every change you've made from the old Dropbox code base has been a major improvement over the years. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Travis Zimmerman tzimmerman at fsu.edu 850-645-8030 Linux Enterprise Applications & Systems its-linuxadmins at fsu.edu Information Technology Services, Florida State University On 12/19/18 6:29 AM, Jules Field wrote: > Travis, > > I've finally had a chance to take a look at this. > > Please can you try a tweak to your code? > It's in the same "if" condition (in NSSDropbox.php) that you pointed > out to me in one of your earlier emails below, where currently you've > changed the code to specifically allow my.fsu.edu. > > ????????? if ($senderDomain !== '' && > ????????????? Those who have reported bugs and requested minor feature changes in the past few months, please do download it and give it a try. Here is the Change Log for this beta: - Simplified upgrading the zendto.conf and preferences.php files. ? There is now a simple "upgrade" utility in /opt/zendto/bin that ? automatically does the whole job for you. ? When upgrading the package on Ubuntu or Debian, just accept the ? defaults if apt asks you what it should do about the config files. - Fixed bug with changing locale when ZendTo does not have its own ? VirtualHost. - Improved error handling at end of new drop-off to try to avoid the ? dreaded your-upload-file-but-dont-know-why error. Key in this situation ? is to check your Apache error log, that will tell you why. - Authentication flow changed to stop your authentication servers getting ? repeated auth attempts even after ZendTo has locked out the user. - LDAP and AD servers can now be specified as hostname:port in case you ? need to use port 3268, which helps if you get partial results. - Entering the decryption passphrase by pasting with a mouse is now ? detected correctly. - Changed styling of your logo image so that it's clipped horizontally ? only. If too tall it will overlap the content below it. - Documented that if you set languageList to array() then the language ? picker does not appear at all. - Improved error detection at end of upload process so email template ? errors are handled much better, and logged. - Improvements to encrypt/decrypt passphrase dialogs. - Added an id to a div in main.js for Gray McCord. - Fixed bug where pick-up CAPTCHA could be bypassed. - Fixed security vulnerability in graphs page. Thanks to Eric Eckman. - Added cs_CZ translation, thanks to Dizzy Easy! Happy Christmas all! Apache, right? ubuntu isn't my area of expertise but I think your apache ssl configuration file will be at /etc/apache2/sites-available/001-zendto-ssl.conf and you are looking for lines like SSLCertificateFile /etc/ssl/certs/zendto-selfsigned-cert.pem SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/ssl/private/zendto-selfsigned-key.pem so basically you put your cert file in /etc/ssl/certs/ and your key file in /etc/ssl/private and edit this file to point to them. You probably also got a certificate chain file with your certificates in which case find the line #SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/ssl/certs/server-ca.crt delete the # , put your chain file in /etc/ssl/certs/ and edit the line to point to it. I (fingers crossed!) have finally fixed the AD authentication bug some of you were reporting, after I successfully managed to reproduce it (I don't have AD at home. Yet.). Also of interest will be a new tool I've written in /opt/zendto/bin called simply "upgrade". Assuming your ZendTo is installed in /opt/zendto, it will run both upgrade_preferences_php and upgrade_zendto_conf for you if necessary, and will keep safe copies of your old files (and the new un-customised versions that apt or yum dropped in) in /opt/zendto/config/old. "upgrade" does not take any command-line parameters at all. It just does the job. And thanks to Manty we have a new translation for Galego. Thanks Manty! (P.S. Your email is bouncing!) Merry Christmas to one and all! It's fixed in the latest beta, which will become a production release once some people have tested it and confirmed that it isn't broken in any major way. The latest beta is 5.16-7, and the download links should be on ??? https://zend.to/beta.php Cheers, Jules.
