With MailScanner integration I do not even see the necessity for a client side app :)

That's very useful, thanks. If there's enough take-up, I could make it a permanent licence per user. So $10 per user gets you that user forever. If that's sufficient to cover my costs, that would be fine by me. It's only an idea at the moment, we need to see how hard it's going to be to implement first.

Although I haven't been running this in production yet, I would say I am in a similar situation as Craig. We have around 42 users and a $10/person license would seem reasonable for us or maybe a flat fee for a yearly maintenance for unlimited users.

I can say I would be very interested in this option, while we were using Zendto a lot I still have to have aYouSendIt account for some people. This would help with some of the holdouts.

As far as costs go, it would have to be fairly inexpensive for me to sell it to my CFO since that's why I went with an open source solution over YouSendIt @ $9/mo. We're you thinking of an annual, monthly or one time license fee? If it is a one time fee are you including maintenance or is that additional?

We are a 30 person company and when we used YouSendIt I was only able to afford 2 licenses that people shared so that gives you some idea of the budget I have to work with for this type of thing. :-(. If it is a one time expense then I could probably get them to spend up to $10 per license (or $300 total)

Hope that helps, I would be interested to know how far apart we are on pricing.

So what cost and licensing model would you deem to be reasonable?

That sounds like an awesome idea. It definitely simplifies things. I wouldn't be apposed to paying for that additional functionality but of course that would depend on the cost to license it.

What would people think of a little Windows app that sat in your system
tray (bottom right end of the taskbar)?
I was thinking that you could drag a bunch of files from Windows
Explorer to it. It would pop up a box asking you to enter your password
and tell it who to send them to, and it would do everything for you.
This would save you having to bring up a web browser and navigate
through the full ZendTo interface.

Any thoughts?

P.S. Would anyone possibly be prepared to pay for such a thing?
(licensed per seat perhaps?)
