I have also improved the code so that if you enter a username which is
not valid (i.e. doesn't match usernameRegexp) then it generates an error
back to the user instead of just ignoring it and re-presenting the login
page.
And if you aren't setting the preference 'localIPSubnets' then you
really should be!
It makes the login process visually much neater.
