Ok, I went ahead and deleted my old keys and requested new ones.  Now the reCAPTCHA is back but it doesn't seem to generate any characters for the user to type in.  Is there anything else I need to do on my end or could this be a bad set of keys from  google again?

In which case there is still something wrong with your CAPTCHA keys.
*Very* occasionally, Google's code creates a duff set of CAPTCHA keys.
